Celebrate July 4th with a Boom!
The historic Minneapolis Riverfront District is once again the site of the 2009 July 4th celebration, “Red, White and Boom!” This year’s event, presented by the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board and Riverfront District, will be better than ever with great entertainment, children’s activities and delicious summer foods. The spectacular fireworks show concludes the event at 10 p.m.
NEW THIS YEAR! Quality street entertainers are being sought to add to the vibrancy and excitement of this event. Street performers, commonly known as ‘buskers,’ are encouraged to submit an application for the opportunity to share talents and perform in front of thousands of visitors along the riverfront before the fireworks.
For more information on the event and to download the Buskers application, visit
